Frequently asked questions about designing leavers hoodies and trip hoodies
In order to keep our production process streamlined and efficient, we do require that all garments in an order have the same front and rear design, along with any sleeve print if selected. This is because the process of setting up our equipment for each individual design is time-consuming and costly. However, we do offer the option to add a personalised nickname to each garment, so you can still make each item special and unique.
We understand that not everyone may want a nickname on their garment, and that's perfectly fine - it's an optional feature. However, it's important to note that if you do choose to add a nickname, there is an additional charge.
We handle nickname requests on an individual basis, so there's no need for everyone in the order to have one.
If you would like optional nicknames to be available for your chosen garments, please let us know when you make your initial design choices.

The majority of our designs are printed in a single colour. This helps to keep processing time to a minimum so that we can produce outstanding screen-printed products at a great price.
Our standard colours (included in the price):
- On white garments, we will print the design in navy blue
- On all other coloured garments, we will print the design in white
Whilst these are our default colours, you may desire your garments to be printed with a different coloured ink. Please discuss this with our customer service team who will be happy to advise on the options available.
Designs with more than one colour
Some of the designs we offer are printed in more than one colour. The images shown on the website are examples, you will be able to select the colours that you prefer when discussing the designs with our artwork team.
For each extra colour in a design, we need to produce a separate screen and take a second pass at printing each garment. For this we add a nominal charge for each extra colour - this is automatically added when you select a multicoloured design.
Designing a trip hoodie can be a fun and creative way to commemorate a school trip. Here are some key elements that you may want to include in your design:
- School Name - Your hoodie should prominently feature your school's name so that everyone knows where the trip came from.
- Year and Location - Include the year of the trip as well as the location. Depending on the length of the trip, you may also want to include the month or term in which it took place.
- Destination Image - Consider including an image that represents the destination of your school trip. This could be a skyline or monument that is recognisable to those who went on the trip.
- Activity Image - If the trip was focused on a certain activity such as athletics, consider including a logo or image that represents that activity.

The length of a leavers hoodie nickname is limited to ten characters, including both letters and spaces. You can choose to use a nickname, first name, surname, initials or emojis - whatever you prefer! Please note that the nickname will appear entirely in uppercase letters and will be in the same position on the hoodie as others from the same organiser/order. We will print nicknames EXACTLY as you enter them, including any spaces you include.

If you don't see a design that you like, please select 'design your own' from the list of designs and we will be in contact with you to discuss your design ideas. This works best if you already have some artwork that you can send us, but we will do our best to help you with any design ideas you have.
Yes you can! We can either print or embroider your school logo or crest onto your hoodies. When you select a front design, be sure to select one which includes a place for a logo. We will then ask you to supply your logo so that we can produce the artwork for your order.

Adding a nickname to your leavers hoodie is a brilliant way to make it uniquely yours. The placement you choose completely changes the visual impact of the design, helping your group express its personality. Please note a very important rule: all nicknames for an order must be printed in the exact same position. This ensures a consistent, unified look for your entire group across all hoodies.

What if we choose "No Nicknames" or the student doesn't add one?
When you select this option, we leave the original design completely untouched. This provides a clean, classic look that focuses entirely on the main lever's graphic.
What does the "Replace Leavers" option look like?
For this style, we remove the word "Leavers" from the main back design and put your nickname in its place. This integrates your name directly into the core artwork, creating a bold, custom appearance that feels deeply connected to the overall design.
Where is the "Above" position?
Your nickname sits proudly across the upper back, resting just above the main leavers design. This creates a traditional sports-shirt style that is highly visible from a distance and naturally draws the eye downward to the main graphic.
How does the "Below" position work?
We print your nickname across the lower back, positioned right underneath the main leavers design. This placement gives the hoodie a grounded feel, allowing the school name and year to take centre stage while your nickname provides a solid foundation at the bottom.
Where does a "Left Chest" nickname go?
Your nickname is printed neatly in a smaller font on the front left chest area. This offers a subtle, smart look that mimics a traditional uniform or badge placement, perfect for a minimalist aesthetic on the front of the hoodie.
Can I have my nickname on the "Right Chest"?
Yes, we can print your nickname in a small font on the front right chest. This provides a great, balanced alternative, especially if you plan to feature a school crest or logo on the left side of the hoodie.
What is the "Below Left Chest" position?
With this option, we place your nickname directly underneath the main front design on the left side. It anchors the front logo beautifully and keeps your personal detail neat, tidy, and right next to your school badge.
Nicknames printed on the Left or Right Sleeves
You can choose to have your nickname printed along either the left or right sleeve. We always format the text to run vertically down the arm. This placement gives your hoodie a modern, dynamic edge that looks highly stylish from the side.
